No Challenge, No Change ! That has been my motto since I first said it almost 20 years ago, but have been LIVING it for the last 15 years. Those who know me knows what it means, but I'll let you know in case you don't. Ever heard No Pain No Gain? I hate that. If it's pain, then STOP! Otherwise, think of it as being a challenge. The more challenges you have, the more you can change into a more powerful and strong self. All you need to do is find the motivation that gets you through each challenge. Just to let you know about my challenges in the last 7 years… I left my marriage right after my daughter was born for reasons I'll fill you in on if you get to know me, I worked 3 part time jobs in order to go back to school full time, have been raising my daughter alone, and was also taking care of an ill mother. I finished my AA in 2002, started on my BA in 2003, completed my BA in May 2004, my mother passed away July 4, 2004 unexpectedly at 62 (her true independence day - no more pain), finished my MA December 2006, and now and working on my PhD. I should be done in less than 2 years. My goal was to be done by the time my daughter was 10, and it looks like I'm on track to do it by when she is 9. That's just a short list of challenges. I have changed SO much in the last 7 years, and looking forward to my life changing even more in the following years with my strongest motivator, my 7 y.o. baby girl.
